Maria Giulia Madio Viceré
Dr. Maria Giulia Amadio Vicerè is a Post-Doctoral Fellow and Adjunct Professor at the Department of Political Science of Luiss University. Currently, she is also an Adjunct Professor at the Luiss School of Government and a researcher within a Horizon 2020 Project on ‘EU Differentiation, Dominance and Democracy’. Before that, she has been a Visiting Fellow at the Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies at the European University Institute (Florence, IT); an EZ Founder’s Visiting Scholar at the Henry M. Jackson School of International Studies at the University of Washington (Seattle, WA, USA); an Assistant Professor at the University of Leiden (NL); a Visiting Research Associate at the Policy Institute at King’s College (London, UK); an elected member of the Academic Association for Contemporary European Studies’ Graduate Forum Committee (UACES); a Blue Book Trainee at the European Commission (Service for Foreign Policy Instruments; Brussels, BE); and a Research Intern at the European Policy Centre (Brussels, BE). She has given seminars and lectures in various universities and institutions, including: Il Sole 24 Ore Business School; St. John’s University; the Istituto Affari Internazionali (IAI); the Institute for Advanced Studies of the Italian Ministry of Defence (IASD); the Institute for the International Education of Students; the University of Washington; Università degli Studi ‘Roma Tre’; and Università ‘Sapienza’. Dr. Amadio Vicerè has also been the recipient of merit-based scholarships from the Zegna Group; the Lazio Region; and the The Australian Centre for Applied Philosophy and Public Ethic. Her articles have appeared on the Conflict, Security and Development Journal; the Italian Political Science Review; the Journal of European Integration; La Cittadinanza Europea; and The International Spectator. She is the author of ‘The High Representative and EU foreign policy integration: A comparative study of Kosovo and Ukraine’ (Palgrave Macmillan, 2018).
