Raffaele Marchetti


Raffaele Marchetti (Degree, La Sapienza; PhD, LSE) is Director of the Center for International and Strategic Studies and Full Professor of International Relations at Luiss. At Luiss he also directs the Arab-Mediterranean Campus and the Master in Analisi Osint, ricerca digitale e tecnologie AI. His research focuses on global politics, hybrid diplomacy, and security issues. Marchetti acts as a consultant for public institutions and private organizations on topics such as global governance, public policy, civil society, and security. He is editor for Routledge of the series on Innovations in International Affairsan editorialist for the Berliner Zeitungand the editor of the Strategic Leadership Journal for the CASD

In the past, he was Deputy Rector for Internationalization at Luiss, and a Teacher/visiting professor/fellow at American University of Rome, China Foreign Affairs University, Covenant University, Freie Universitat Berlin, Fudan University, Exeter University, London School of Economics, MGIMO, Notre Dame University, Oxford University, Sciences Po, Strathmore University, Waseda, Université de Geneve, University of Delaware, University of Naples L’Orientale, and University of Taipei. He served as rapporteur for the European Commission on Civil Society in Global Governance and received the Lawrence S. Finkelstein Award from the International Studies Association (ISA), Section on International Organization .
